Attractive blue-coloured binders capable of handling 12 issues of Marine News magazines, are sized perfectly for our magazine. They keep your back-issues in order for easy reference. Binders are made of hard-cover stock with removable wire spines that are inserted in the middle of each magazine and then fitted into the binder.
Cost for a binder is £10.00 - (inc. postage) if mailed to a U.K. address, or £11.50 - (inc. postage) to any address outside the U.K. (as at December 2012 - prices subject to change) and these are available from the Membership Secretaries. Payment can be added to your annual dues payment, or sent by GBP cheque, Visa or MasterCard. [11.2012]
Indices in paper or booklet format for all years from year one to the present are available at reasonable cost. Check the listing for "Marine News Ship Index for 2010" on our Society News page. These indices are produced as a private concern by one of our volunteers, and must be purchased direct from the volunteer(s) involved in this project.
There are several options available for obtaining past issues of Marine News magazines. Keep your collection up-to-date.
1. Check the Society News page for an announcement of those years that have been scanned and available for sale on CD. One year on one CD. Ever wanted copies of old Marine News, or fill a gap in your collection, or dispose of your paper copies? The Archive Digitisation Committee, with the help of a team of volunteers to scan back numbers of Marine News, now have made available the years 1947/48 (Vols I & II combined) to 1989 (Vol XLIII) on CD. Each year consists of one CD with 12 monthly issues with around 200 to 700 page images, plus the index of ship names. [07.2012]
Price for 1 CD to members £8. (Non members £12). 2-4 CDs £7 each (£10.50). 5 CDs or over £6 each (£9).
P&P First CD UK £1.00, EU £1.50, Rest of World £2.00. Each additional CD: UK 20p, EU 35p, ROW 70p.

4. purchase paper reprints of Vol. 1 & 2, Marine News (1947 & 1948) A wealth of history from the early days of the Society which was formed as the Ship News Club in 1946, 60+ years ago. A fitting tribute to the brainchild of the Society, Michael Crowdy.
These volumes include Michael's editorials and notes on the building of the Society along with the news of ships being refitted after war service, scrappings, transfers, new buildings and orders. These electronic copies of the 1965 reprint have had a certain amount of 'cleaning up' carried out on them. This reprint is 70 pages in A4 format and is soft bound in a folder.

Warships is an optional subscription-based publication available to anyone who has a keen interest in world naval affairs. The magazine is published four times a year and is available at a cost of £12 + postage surcharge of £2.00 — total of £14.00 (if mailed to a UK address), or postage surcharge of £4.50 — total of £16.50 (if mailed to other than a UK address).
