May 2, 2013 - ANNOUNCEMENTS - Publications - The May edition of Marine News in PDF format was sent out on May 2nd to all members who requested this format. The paper version of May's issue was mailed out on May 7th to only those members who requested a paper version, and who paid extra for this version. LIFE members are entitled to a free PDF copy of each issue, but some members have not yet provided us with an e-mail address. LIFE members MUST pay the extra costs for a paper version of the magazine, if they opt for this version.

Apr 19, 2013 - ANNOUNCEMENTS - Society News - DURING THE CHATHAM AGM, VISIT THE LIBRARY AND ARCHIVE. During the WSS AGM Weekend, the WSS Library and Archive in the Chatham Historic Dockyard will be open from at least 11am until 4pm each day on Friday 17th, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May. Do visit us to see the full range of available WSS publications on sale. There’s also an even wider selection of very reasonably priced second-hand shipping books, periodicals and photographs on offer. Members are also very welcome to browse the Library, and hear about its facilities from volunteers on duty there. The Library and Archive is situated about ten minutes walk from the King Charles Hotel (visitors to the facility do not have to pay to enter the Historic Dockyard). Apr 19, 2013 - ANNOUNCEMENTS - Obituaries - Terry Creswell was the Society's Hon. General Secretary from 1962 to 1969, succeeding Bert Moody. His passing was reported to us today, although he died February 20th, 2013.
