World Ship Society - FROM THE PAST - AGM 2007

60th Annual General Meeting - Dover, UK - May 2007

The 60th A.G.M. was  held at The Best Western Churchill Hotel & Health Club, Dover Waterfront, Dover, Kent on Friday 11th, 12th, 13th May 2007.  It is the 60th and the first time it has been held in the area at Dover. The Port celebrated its 500th anniversary of the granting of a Royal Charter this year and the exhibition which runs for a year. 

The planned weekend programme was as follows.    Friday 11th May 2007 P.M. / Evening - Reception / members and traders stands  & displays.   Slide/Digital Slide presentation. | Saturday 12th May 2007 - A.M. Visit to the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre  Langdon Banks / Shopping for Ladies at De Bradeli Mills or Canterbury.  Buffet Lunch.  P.M./Evening - 60th Annual General Meeting, followed by Dinner 1930 hrs.  | 13th May, 2007 - WSS Archive at Chatham will be open for viewing and sale of books.   1100 hrs. cruise on P.S. KINGSWEAR CASTLE down the River Medway to Thamesport and Sheerness. Returning at 1700 hrs.
