Item of Interest - Mystery Photo 0201


Get out your notes and books and see if you can find the answers to three questions posed about this vessel.  No prizes for identification, other than an acknowledgement in this notice.  Here are three questions for this image. 

  • Question 1. Can you identify the vessel in this photo (clue - image taken by Glenn Smith, May 2004).
  • Question 2. Can you identify the exact location. (The photo could be taken anywhere in the world).
  • Question 3. Can you describe the type of vessel, and its present use

Response 1.  From Mike Nash — Earl of Pembroke at Charlestown Cornwall owned by Square sail and used for filming/charter/sail training, she was the ex wooden coaster converted to sail at Gloucester & Bristol, the boat ahead is the ex Swedish/Fleetwood fishing boat Svanskar, which when finished sailing was bought by the harbour master at Sharpness in 1973
